Common questions

What should we wear?

Neutrals and earth tones photograph best against the coast and the canyons — think textures over patterns, and skip big logos. Dress one step above everyday, coordinate rather than match, and bring a second look if your package includes one.

Where should we shoot?

Wherever feels like you — a beach at golden hour, canyon trails, old-town streets, or your own neighborhood. I’ll suggest spots based on the season and the light, and I scout ahead when it’s somewhere new.

When is the best time of day?

Golden hour — the hour before sunset — is when the coast and the hills do their best work. Overcast mornings are a close second. Midday sun is the one thing I’ll talk you out of.

Does an engagement session count toward wedding coverage?

A full session is already included in Classic and Premium wedding packages. Standalone sessions are their own booking — and a good way to see how we work together before committing to the big day.

How many photos do we get?

Between 10 and 60+ edited images depending on the session length, delivered in a private online gallery with a print release — sized for sharing and for save-the-dates.

We’re awkward in front of cameras. Is that a problem?

It’s the most common thing couples tell their engagement photographer, and it never stays true for long. Sessions run on movement and prompts, not poses — you’ll be walking, talking, and mostly forgetting I’m there.

Pick a spot, pick an evening.

Tell me a little about the two of you — I'll handle the light and the logistics.
